Maritime mail. Letter from the Correspondence of POTIER, written in Kolkata on February 25, 1821, and destined for Lisbon, where it arrived on September 9. It was marked with Corº Maritimo de Lisboa LSB-CM1, in black (R5), and postage of 120 reis, for a letter weighing between 4 and 6/8 of an ounce, according to the maritime postal rates. It also has on the back the mark GM of the chief guard of health. It was applied the table of overseas letters, for having arrived on a Portuguese ship, regardless of the origin of the letter. MR
