Pre-philately. Maritime Mail. Composite Rates. Letter written in Bahia on 17.10.1851, hand-delivered aboard the "Figueirense", which arrived in Lisbon on 20.12. Mark C. Est. De N, and 160 reis of maritime postage. It paid 40 reis of territorial postage and 10 reis of the Law of 20/4, totaling 210 reis, different from the 205 reis WRONG (by excess), handwritten by the post office of Mortágua. See L. Frazão.
