Military Mail. India. WW1 Military Censorship. Letter sent from the Artillery Barracks in New Goa to the Central Committee of the Red Cross in Bern, free of postage, by the German internee Fred Marsich. It bears the Portuguese India Postage Exemption mark on the front, marked in green. It was opened by the censor in Goa, sealed with the band PORTUGUESE INDIA/MILITARY POSTAL CENSORSHIP, with the number 26914; while still in Goa it passed through CENSOR Nº30. It passed through Lisbon, where it was marked by the Portuguese Red Cross, before continuing on to France, where it was again opened and sealed with the band. MB
