Portuguese India 1896 used 1/4 tanga (OM 3) from Dabhol, Maharashtra to Chiplun Maharashtra. The indicium is tied by a partial “Dabhol Ratnagiri” CDS + a “Chiplun” receiving CDS on the front. Note: Both Dabhol and Chiplun are in Ratnagiri District in Maharashtra BRITISH INDIA. From Dabhol to Chiplun is 1 day according to the dates in the postmarks. This card wasn’t used in Portuguese India. Portuguese India used abroad? Very unusual. Violet commercial mark on the back from Errington and Martin, London stamp dealers in the early 20th century.
