ARMOUR PERSIAN WARRIOR SHEILD CHISELED ARABIC CALLIGRPHT SURFACE CHISELLED LAVISH DÉCOR FLOWER - Province : Persian / Mughal.Made : Hand forged steel , hand hammered & chiseled.Dated : Unknown.Shape : Convex form circular shape.Calligraphy: Arabic calligraphy hand engraved and chiseled to invoke God’s power and blessing To win battle.The surface has beautifully engraved medallions comprising engraved flower motifs inside.The shield bears an elaborate chiseled engraving over its surface with floral and creeper design.Four domed bosses chiseled with flower motifs connecting hooks at back.The shield is larger than usual shield , it measures 17 inches in diameter. The inside of the shield bears cloth cushion with 2 handles to hold.This makes this shield adding dramatic detailing to this incredible piece of armor.An interesting shield showing the influence of other culture circa Qajar period 18th.-19th.century . History collection does not offer any certificate of age and authenticity certificate. Condition: Good age related wear
