Province : Mughal. Made : Made of hand forged steel , hand hammered and hand chiseled. Mughal / Islamic warrior shield, manually nickel with Arabic inscription & half moons . Medallions: 8 medallions with hand chisel different Arabic calligraphy from holy book Koran to invoke Godâ€â„¢s power and blessing to win battle. Measurement: 19 inches in diameter. Reserve of shield has thick cloth cushion & 2 cotton handles to hold shield. This makes this shield adding dramatic detailing to this incredible piece of armor. An interesting shield showing the influence of other culture circa Qajar period 18th.-19th.century . History collection does not offer any certificate of age and authenticity certificate.
