ARMOR MUSEUM LEVEL PERSIAN STYLE HELMET GOLD WORK TRIDENT ANIMAL FIGS FRONT & BK SLOPINGS - A COLLECTOR CHOICE WELL DOCUMENTED WARRIOR HELMET WITH 3 WAY TRIDENT AND GOLD WORK. The Base is bowl shaped of the kulah Khud helmet but with an additional lower section and sloping front and back visors. These are profusely chiseled with gold leaf figures & art work ( including a bowman on horseback ), with a tiger attacking animal and elaborate floral work. The front visor extends from the base of the bowl and may actually serve to protect the bridge of nose. The area above the visor has gold artwork face with eyes intended and a raised nose. Two plume holders have floral engraving with gold outline. In the place of spike, the top is adorned with a trident ( a symbol of the god SHIVA) . The interior is cotton & cloth cushion. This makes this helmet adding dramatic detailing to this incredible piece of armor. . This would be fine addition to your collection, perfect gift of display. Condition: Good age related wear
