This incredible Indian battle SIKH shield Dhal is a truly magnificent military armor. Province: Asian. Catalog listed : http://www.sikhmuseum.com/helmet/turban/design.htmMade : Made of hand forged steel hand hammered and hand chiseled in convex form circular. Skull : 13 spikes inserted in half moon shape .The reverse of shied has cloth cushion and has 2 handles to holds. This makes this shield adding dramatic detailing to this incredible piece of armor. An interesting shield showing the influence of other cultures. Circa Qajar period 18th.-19th. century. The first image is from courtesy from Sikh catalog and not included in auction.
