Province: Ottoman /Turkish. .Made: Made of hand forged steel Hand hammered, hand chiseled : The helmet bears an elaborate chiseled engraving over its with floral & creeper design at visor , neck and ear guards and top of helmet. On front cylinder type pipe fixed to make helmet rare and unusual. The reverse of helmet has cloth cushion . This makes this helmet adding dramatic detailing to this incredible piece of armor. Interesting helmet showing the influence of other cultures, Circa Qajar period 18th.-19th.c century. It would be fine addition to your collection, perfect gift or display.
