Turkish ./Ottoman Islamic convex taper form circular shield Arabic inscription .Made of Hand forged steel , hand hammered & chiseled.The shield bears an elaborate chiseled engraving over its entire surface with floral & creeper design. Bottom rim has two lair Arabic inscription for blessing to win battle .Has four prominent domed bosses with chiseled design .The shield is large than normal shield & measures 19 inches in diameter. The reverse of shied has cloth cushion and has 2 handles to holds. This makes this shield adding dramatic detailing to this incredible piece of armor.An interesting shield showing the influence of other cultures. Circa Qajar period 18th.-19th. century.It would be fine addition to your collection, perfect gift or display. Condition: Good age relted wear
