Four Annas Pair Bareilly to England – RPSL certified in 2024. Pair of SG#25 cut to shape cancelled by Type 5/45 of Bareilly on part entire. Various transit postmarks on reverse. Superb article from the period when the environs of Bareilly were in the throes of the First War of Independence. One of the transit cds read 21 May 1857 which is 10 days before the ruler of Bareilly declared independence from the British. The entire merits further inspection.
