The order was that all covers bound for the 8 June 1948 flight should be deposited at their post offices by 5 June 1948 but in this case, this one clearly missed that deadline. Hence, an unauthorized usage of the stamp was only meant to be used on the First Flight. Sent to England by air but well after the first flight had departed. Opening faults do not detract. Superb and the first cover we have seen with Srinagar origin.
