Ceremonial necklace with 12 alternating sets of towers, curved swords crossed over laurel wreaths and connecting rings. OTE/COL1.1. Golden silver. Comp. total 1000 mm, weight 251 g, with medal pendant, dia. 76mm. A similar necklace is described in Cadaval Inventory no. 240 of 1810, item 13: “Collar of the Order of the Tower and sword without enamel, in gilded silver. It has a label from the last inventory”; and in Inventory no. 380 of 1836, heading 37: “1 Collar in gilt silver of the Order of the Tower and Sword for Grand Crosses of the 1st standard”. There are 2 silver-gilt necklaces known in 12 sets and 1 silver-gilt necklace of the same type without enamel in 10 sets. (book p. 199, variant)
