”Grand cross plaques that belonged to D. Miguel I and D. João VI. Infante Regente D. Miguel, 1825. OTE/PL3.7. Plaque with flames in silver rays, with wired and sealed label (Armas Reales), engraved back “D.M.I: Infante Regente Dom Miguel, 1825”. Silver and golden silver. Dia. 100 mm; Weight 56.8 g. A similar plaque is described in Cadaval Inventory no. 240 of 1810, rubric 9: “Badge of the Order of the Tower & sword in silver of its color, castle and center gilded with enamelled flames of its color all around the said center. It has a label from the last inventory” (book p. 197 variant). Similar plaques of the Royal Order of the Tower and Sword with flames in the rays appear in portraits of some historical figures of the time, such as the Duke of Terceira.
