”Set of a medal and a plaque of Christ 032 a, b – Military Order of Christ, set of Grand Cross insignia, period 1808-1810, both bearing a “Palm Tree” hallmark. a – Medal pendant from the band, oval and bulging, in silver, with suspension ring, finely chiseled edge, the cross of the Order and the badge of the Sacred Heart in enamelled gilt silver, in a smooth silver field limited by a smooth half-cane frame ; smooth back, with “Palmeira” hallmark on the band ring, dim. 102x70x18 mm (thickness), ring dia. 20mm; Weight 78.1 g; b – Silver plaque with a splendor of 22 fluted rays, with the Sacred Heart in enamel at the head, in the center the cross of the Order in gilded silver enamelled on a smooth gold field, surrounded by a double silver border with engravings, on the back a double clasp with contrast hallmarks “Palmeira”, dia. 76mm; Weight 64.5 g. The hallmark with the design of a Palm Tree is unknown in the registration books of the Portuguese Assay Offices, appearing referenced in the inventories of Casa de Cadaval from 1815 and 1820 as “Punção do Brasil”.
