PEAR OF ANGUISH MEDIEVAL TORTURE WOMEN WITCHCRAFT
Pear of anguish hand made of steel used for torture against women accused of witchcraft.
It was an extremely painful device used to punish women accused of inducing a miscarriage, homosexuals, accused of being witches etc.
The pear instrument was inserted into the victim’s orifices: vagina for women, the anus for homosexuals and the mouth which must be very painful.
This pear has two thick leaves which opens when turn top knob.
Top knob has man face made of heavy steel hand forged and hand engraving, has beautiful design.
Such pear were used in earlier century.
